My Husbands Great Grandfather left Armenia and went to work for a family in Paris. We understand he spent some time there before immigrating to the US around 1898. I was just able to locate church marriage records here that give me his parents names in Armenia and am now wondering if there is any way to trace his immigration and likely then his origin/location in Armenia thru records in France. Does anyone have any experience with this as I have noted on ship manifests that many came thru France? Thanks for any help with this.

Good luck Ann, I'm trying to do the same. If I figure out how I'll write back, if you find a site, please let me know too.

Hello,

Do you still search for a source ?
You can search on the Camp Oddo registery. It was an armenian refugee camp (most important one) in Marseille where 5000 armenian refugees were settled in their arrival. I don't find other sources : https://webaram.com/biblio/identite/camp-oddo

I don't find my grand-father, but some of his cousins for exemple.
