My family surname is OWEN, but obviously has been changed some generations ago. My grandfather was also an Owen....christian name Mackatich, and he along with my grandmother and my father, was born in Hong Kong. His parents were born in Tehran(Persia back then).
I believe my great or great great grandfather was an archbishop of the Armenian church in Calcutta. If anyone can shed light onto where I'd get a copy of a list of Archbishops/clerics in Calcutta during the 1800's, I believe this to be my best way of working out what the former family name was.
