Hi,
I'm searching for others who share the same last name, where did their grandparent and beyond originate.

My paternal grandfather came from Kilis. His name was Megerdich Daghelian. He was married to Mariam (last name unknown).

I would appreciate any feedback.

Dod 12/17/1965 Syracuse NY .
Akabi Kechebashian Azadian 5/31/1883- 4/21/1952
Her family had family home in Cesarea and summer home in Smyrna. Also I know she taught at the American Girls School in Scutari(Constantinople ) might be American Bible School
He and my GGrandmother Akabi G Kechebashian came on the
SS Palatia from Germany on 10/14/1899 and where married 2/9/1901.
Also with them where Akabis sisters and mother .And a Miss Johanna Zimmer who helped them flee in 1898 to Leipzig Germany
Mother was Gulvart Kecheposhian (note spelling as we know people working at Ellis cant spell)
Dziadzan Kechebashian (Desterian) married 1904 died childbirth 1905 Mich.
Diruhi Kechebashian (Altoonjian) Married Simon dod 1961
Mariana G Kechebashian (never married) dod 1948 Syracuse NY
Then Sima Kechebashian ( Keishian ) came 1928(?) to Georgia
Her daughter Dziadzan (Lucy) immigrated 1923 married to Yervant AlbertTheir daughter Grace is still alive as is 1 of Harutun & Akabis girls Emma who was 102 yrs this passed November ..........

Annie, www.familysearch.org has two (2) entries for DAGHELIAN. Nataline Daghelian b. 13 July 1983 d. 27 feb 1984, Inglewood, CA

Archalaus Daghelian b. 1 Aug 1916 d. 23 Oct 1999 (Social Security Index)
Salt Lake City, Utah locality.

Nataline Daghelian's parents were Jerry Lee Roth and mother Mary Elaine Burns. An adoption element might be involved.

Annie, Karekin (Karry) e-mailed me that her Grandfather came from Kilis.
She was born in Aleppo, Syria and now lives in Pasadena, California.
Her grandfather use to work in the mountains digging tunnels...so they called him Daghli, mountainneer, or Daghelian. His name was Yezakel
Daghelian. I an hopeful, that she will contact you through the forum.

Annie, I have a suggestion. Would you do a Google search for your surname? If so, go to www.google.com and type in Daghelian under Google Search. You will find all of the Daghelian hits on the internet, including yourself as a student. Try it just for fun! Jack
