OK, I have tried a number of times tio get this posted, to no avail. So, I have posted it to my own web site for now:

http://webpages.charter.net/anccenma/ge ... census.jpg

I have also posted an image from the 1912/3 census:

http://webpages.charter.net/anccenma/ge ... census.jpg

They are big files, so they may take awhile to load. The 1912 image is clearer, but both images are for the same street in Bolis (Istanbul/Constantinople).

Especially note that there is an additional child born in 1323 listed for the third family. 1323 in the hijra calendar equates to 1905/6 which should have been before the earlier census, yet the child is not listed. Thus, we see evidence of undercounting of children even in the Armenian census, although possibly not to the extent of the Ottoman census.

Uploads appear to be limited to 500x500pixels or 50KB. That's not nearly big enough for images of handwritten pages. I also noticed that error messages might be generated, even if the upload is successful.

God bless you for posting these!!! Unfortunately, these are not my regions of ancestry (at least to my knowledge), but these are INVALUABLE for anyone whose family is documented there. God willing we will get more such documents made available!!!!!!!!!

8/29/11 Dear George, if you should see this, please post Gesaria Baptisms file again. I have clicked on your link but it doesn't work anymore. I have been searching for these and have never found anything. Where can I find them if not from you? Thank you. Marsha
