by Eomurian
What does the name Eomurian mean or stand for? Literally it means...
1a) "Eo" as a prefix means "early" or "earliest" or or "[from Greek eos dawn] Denotes dawn; can mean (1) early like the dawn"
1b) "Eu" as a prefix means "Well" or "good" or "well done": neuter of a primary eus (good). Pronounced " yoo "

1c) Murian in Greek means "ten thousand": when they said ten thousand times ten thousand they were saying "murian times murian," and it was really an infinite expression, numberless times numberless and numberless and numberless, many of them. More than ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands, those are just expressions for the numbers of angels, one source says.

So, we have "Earliest of the ten thousand" or "Well done/good of the Ten Thousand"

2) In history there is a reference to "Retreat of the Ten Thousand" - Greeks and Spartans of Asia Minor - Cyrus II's purpose was to lead an expedition to put down an unruly tribe in the Taurus mountains, but at the last minute, changed course and marched towards Babylon

3) The village of Murian belongs to the vilayet of Bitlis (Baghesh in Armenian), near lake Van in Western Armenia (Turkey). "The village upon the right bank of the Murad, over an area which is roughly limited by the town of Tutakh on the north, and by villages of Dignuk and Murian (on the Gopal Su) upon the south and west...." [Source]. "Southeastern Turkey, southwest of Lake Van at 4,600 feet (1,400 metres) above sea level. Strategically situated in the narrow valley of the Bitlis Çay, a tributary of the Tigris River, it commands the only route from the Van basin to the Mesopotamian plains. It was mentioned frequently, as Bagesh, in old Armenian sources. Taken by the Muslim Arabs during the reign of the caliph 'Umar (634–644), it changed hands intermittently among the Arab dynasties, the Armenians, the Byzantines, the Persian Il-Khans, and the Mongols until the establishment of a Kurdish dynasty in the 14th century.

4) My mother always says "ian" means "son of". If this is the case here, who was Eomur?
