My great-grandmother, Mary Badigian Basmajian, her family is from Bitlis. Her mother was Markarid Karabian Badigian, and the Karabian family also came to Fresno. My grandmother's family was from Diyarbekir/Dikranagerd, the Basmajian and Keshishian families. They came to the U.S. in 1899.
